The picture that started it all

How amazing is she? (Gabbi Gregg) How amazing is that bathing costume (Fatkini)? Can we find something similar in South Africa? Absolutely not! What are we going to do about it? Start a plus size revolution... hehe. I read this article in the Daily Mail (follow the link) and got thinking. I already know how isolated plus size woman feel in competitive clothing markets like the USA and the Europe, imagine how curvy chicks in south Africa must feel... forgotten! With retailers like Mr Price and Woolworths uping their fashionability. With new entrants into the market like Zara and Topshop and H&M in 2015... excellent news for the South African fashionista... for the curvy girl, nothings changed. well, maybe things have just gotten slightly worse. One half of the size spectrum gets more choice and leaves us lagging behind in a shapeless curtain or standing infront of a retailers door on a Monday morning to grab the few larger sized items before it gets sold out in a day. Lets stay inspired though. Lets see whats happening and trending overseas and make it happen for us. Look at the above picture for inspiration. I welcome you to join me on my journey as I explore evrything that has to do with being a fashionable curvy chick living in South Africa.
